A great cover is one of my guilty pleasures. A while back I told you about an awesome cover of "Lovefool" done by The Morning Benders, and mentioned a Ben Lee cover of "Float on", and now here are a few more!
Steel Train has been one of my favorite bands for a while now - it's hard to resist an indie, throw back band from Jersey. I saw them for the first time when I was fourteen, when they played a show with Hellogoodbye. At the time I had no clue who they were, but I instantly fell in love (they were way better than Hellogoodbye, but does that shock anyone?). They even came to Lehigh University last year for Sundaze. Although the lineup has changed a lot since I saw them for the first time, with the only original members remaining being Jack Antanoff and Evan Winiker, they still play a hell of a show.
What I am about to say will shock you, and may even be anti-America but: I like Steel Train's cover of "I Want You Back" more than I like the original Jackson five version. Don't kill me, just listen.

Originally performed by Elvis Presley, Ingrid Michaelson, singer-songwriter extraordinaire, sings a beautiful rendition of "Can't Help Falling in Love (With You)".

"In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel is one of my favorite 80s songs. John Cusack standing outside of Ione Skye's winding in a trench coat holding a stereo over his head, blasting this song is every girls dream. Ben Harper does an outrageous acoustic version of this song, and brings it to a whole new level.

I was hoping this was a cover of Robyn's "Show Me Love", but I wasn't too disappointed to realize it was actually Robin S' song instead. You've heard this song at 80s dance clubs, or at the roller rink. The xx mellows this song out at 3:20, and makes it even more awesome.
